Two russian reconnaissance UAVs were shot down by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the north of Ukraine

The units of the Air Force Command Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two russian reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles in the north of Ukraine on April 10, 2023, the General Staff of Ukraine reported.

According to preliminary data, well-known Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV was shot down. Moreover, an experimental Merlin-VR drone was probably downed. It is going to be the fourth confirmed use of the Merlin-VR UAV on the territory of Ukraine, after it was presented in September 2021.

It was shot down for the first time on June 16, 2022. Ukrainian specialists carefully disassembled the only model of the Merlin-VR UAV so far and reported about its real capacity, components and production.
