Defense Intelligence adds that the ammo depot was "temporary" and that it was ruined due to a sabotage mission, although without any further details. In the video, we can see and hear the initial blasts and damaged ammunition cooking off afterward. Infirmaries and police arrived at the site.

As a reminder, earlier Kozacha Bay suffered a major fire outbreak at the nearby oil depot – the biggest facility of its type in Crimea.

Elimination of russian military facilities in Crimea

Lately, the attacks on Crimea has become more frequent, mostly they involved explosive unmanned aerial vehicles.

For instance, on the morning of July 24th, multiple suicide drones struck an ammunition depot near Vesele village, located close to both an airfield and a major city Dzhankoi.

Prior to that, on July 22nd, the airfield and oil depot in Oktiabrske were struck. Despite being an airfield in name, it is actually a field camp with a big ammunition storage facility that got hit. The results of this strike were reflected in satellite imagery.

One more ammo storage was destroyed on July 19th. The russian side accused Ukraine of using Hrim-2 missiles, also known as Sapsan, for this strike, even though the real development stage of this weapon is far from being completed.
