Press service of the 3rd Operational Spartan Brigade, National Guard of Ukraine, has shared footage of a recent engagement with the russian invasion forces in the Pokrovsk axis. The video, posted on the Brigade's Facebook account on May 11, shows several russian armored vehicles approach Ukrainian positions.
However, the soldiers of the Spartan Brigade and adjacent units were ready to fight back. Thus, the targets were intercepted using multiple different types of weaponry: Stugna anti-tank guided missiles and kamikaze drones.

"A direct hit turned the tank into a display of 'victory' fireworks. The last surviving participant of this 'parade' tried to hide beneath a mountain of twisted metal — but it didn’t work this time," the statement describes the consequences of a strike by Stuhna-P ATGM, also known by its export name Skif.
This operation underscores the value of kamikaze drones and effective coordination between Ukrainian forces, as the Ukrainian soldiers had to ambush the vehicles at a close distance of under 5 km to their targets — the maximum firing range of the Stuhna-P missile system.
For reference, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 10,792 russian tanks of various models have been destroyed since the start of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Earlier, Defense Express reported on another notable achievement recently: drone operators of Ukraine's 110th Brigade destroyed russia's new Vozrozhdenie MLRS. We also pointed out the Pomsta Brigade which showed how steel wire and dirt can shape the battlefield.
