A precision drone strike in Donetsk region destroyed russian R-330 Zhitel jammer, the Murom-P surveillance system, and several enemy assets

Pilots of the Phoenix drone unit have carried out a precision strike in Donetsk region, successfully neutralizing russian electronic warfare station and surveillance system, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports. In a coordinated night operation, the unmanned aerial vehicles targeted and destroyed key enemy assets, igniting nearby shelters, ammunition depots and transport vehicles.

The strike eliminated approximately ten occupying troops. Among the destroyed equipment were three communication antennas, the R-330 Zhitel electronic warfare system, designed to jam Ukrainian communications, and one Murom-P surveillance system, which russian forces had been using to direct artillery fire. In addition to these high-value systems, the operation leveled a field ammunition stockpile, a quad bike used for forward reconnaissance, and an enemy artillery piece.

The destruction of the R-330 Zhitel system is particularly significant: it has been one of Moscow's principal tools for disrupting Ukrainian command-and-control networks along the front. By taking it out of service, Ukrainian forces regain precious clarity in the battles for control of key supply routes and frontline positions in the area.

This successful mission underscores the growing role of drone warfare in Ukraine's defensive and counteroffensive campaigns. The Phoenix pilots, operating at stand-off ranges, continue to inflict disproportionate damage on russian rear-area assets while keeping their own personnel out of harm's way.

The operation also demonstrates effective coordination between the Border Guard assets and frontline units, who capitalized on Ukraine's restored communications to call in follow-up strikes on smoldering enemy positions.

As fighting grinds on in Donetsk region, such targeted raids serve both a tactical and psychological purpose: degrading russia's electronic warfare capabilities and signaling that no critical asset is beyond reach of Ukrainian drones.
