On Friday, December 20, at about 7 am, russian terrorists launched long-range strikes on Kiev. For this, the enemy used five ballistic missiles from the Iskander mobile short-range ballistic missile system and/or North Korean KN-23 missiles. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also announced the takeoff of MiG-31K aircraft, which are carriers of the Kh-47 Kinzhal missiles, but apparently they did not carry out launches.

In any case, all the missiles were successfully intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses, but in one case the warhead of the missile failed to be destroyed and it exploded near a business center in the central part of the city. It is quite difficult to determine what targets the enemy chose, and given the accuracy of the KN-23 missiles, the target could well be the city itself, without choosing a specific object.

Considering that yesterday the russian dictator Putin held a "session" of his psychoses called "year-end summary" during which he again began to threaten his "Oreshnik" for which he was officially called a "dumbass" at the state level, the question could arise whether this strike was planned or the whim of an offended "dumbass".

It is worth noting that moscow is well informed about the presence of missile defense systems directly in Kyiv. So the russians launched an attack on Kyiv on Friday, December 20, using only ballistic and aeroballistic missiles, without the use of cruise missiles and drones. It is worth noting that the preparation of cruise missiles for use takes a lot of time: strategic bombers are moved to airbases for charging, missiles are programmed, and suspended on carriers. The preparation of sea-based cruise missiles of the Kalibr type is also not fast.

Therefore, if the strike was planned in advance, then most likely it was a combined one. Such as the strike on December 13, 2024, which was a record for all time using 287 missiles and drones. Although the preparation for the launch of ballistic missiles is much shorter, it is far from a fact that the enemy is able to prepare it in about 8 hours.
At the same time, the so-called russian Defense Ministry has already managed to report that this attack is supposedly a response to the strike on russian solid rocket fuel production using American ATACMS missiles and British Storm Shadow missiles, which occurred on Wednesday, December 18. Thus, most likely, the russian strike on Kyiv on Friday was the result of a whim of Putin, who demanded a retaliatory strike, but at that time the russian dictator was not yet "offended".
In fact, the emotional state of the mentally ill russian dictator hardly matters at all, because orders to commit war crimes come from the Kremlin independently of him.
