The enemy unit had been concealed in dense vegetation and was directing artillery fire at Ukrainian infantry positions.
Once identified, Ukrainian forces acted swiftly and decisively. Several precision strikes neutralized the operators, immediately halting their activity.

“Accurate and timely fire destroyed the enemy unit,” the Ukrainian Land Forces reported.
As previously reported by Defense Express, in the south of Ukraine, units of the 8th Border Detachment successfully located and destroyed russian BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system, according to a statement from the Berdyansk Border Detachment. The system had been used during nighttime hours to fire at both Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas.
Defense Express also reported that in the Zaporizhzhia sector, personnel of the 17th Poltava Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, in coordination with artillery units, carried out a precision strike using the Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzer. The strike targeted a russian 152 mm artillery system at a reported distance of over 25 kilometers.
According to the brigade’s official statement, the operation resulted in the destruction of the enemy artillery system, likely along with its crew.
