Strategic communications is one of the important elements of cooperation with NATO, - Anatolii Petrenko

This was emphasized by Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoliy Petrenko on November 17 during a working meeting with Vineta Kleine, Head of the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine.

Anatolii Petrenko congratulated Vineta Kleine on her appointment as the Head of the Centre and expressed hope for the continuation of friendly and fruitful cooperation.

The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of cooperation in the field of strategic communications and public information, as well as the implementation of joint projects with the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine, aimed at promoting the values and principles of the North Atlantic Alliance.

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine emphasized the main national interests of Ukraine, namely the full-fledged membership in NATO, which is enshrined in the Constitution and the National Security Strategy of Ukraine.

Anatolii Petrenko assured the management of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine on the readiness of the defence agency to develop cooperation in areas that will bring our country closer to the North Atlantic Alliance.

Among other things, he informed the Head of the Centre about the continuation of the defence reform in the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as priorities and key activities of the Defence Ministry.

In this context, the official noted the importance of Ukraine receiving the EOP status and the main aspects of cooperation that it opens for Ukraine.

Also as part of a working visit to the Ministry of Defence, representatives of the delegation of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine took part in a daily ceremony honouring the fallen Ukrainian defenders.

Anatolii Petrenko and Vineta Kleine honoured the fallen Ukrainian Heroes and laid flowers at the Memorial Stella.
