During one of the flights, drone operators noticed an object resembling a tree in a wooded area. Upon further observation, it became clear that the object was russian soldier. The position was identified and subsequently targeted.

Units like Phoenix often work closely with other intelligence and artillery teams to verify targets and assess impact. This cooperation helps integrate drone operations into a wider battlefield framework rather than treating them as isolated efforts.

As the Kupiansk axis remains contested, the use of drone systems continues to play a central role in shaping the tactical situation on the ground. The Phoenix unit's latest actions reflect the ongoing adaptation of Ukrainian forces to modern battlefield conditions.

As Defense Express previously reported, units of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine carried out a series of operations against russian forces on the front line. The actions were conducted by combat groups specializing in active engagement and involved the use of drones, mortar fire, and small arms.

According to official reporting, the operations targeted russian infantry and vehicles. Combat drones were employed to strike both personnel and mobile assets, while mortar fire supported these actions from a distance. The engagements took place in frontline areas, though the exact location was not specified.
