russian armed forces make custom combat drones to drop bombs on Ukrainian troops

State Border Guards in northern Ukraine spotted a multirotor drone approaching their positions and opened fire with small arms.

They managed to take it down, and as it fell, the explosive device it apparently carried detonated, creating a funnel several meters wide.

"It seems that according to the enemy's plan, the drone was supposed to drop a powerful explosive device on the defenders of Ukraine, as evidenced by the large funnel that remained at the crash site. There is almost nothing left of the drone," says the note by the State Border Guard Service.

As follows from this message, the drone was launched from russian territory towards the Ukrainian border in the Sumy region.

We have already seen R-18 multicopters dropping small explosive devices on top of enemy troops and armored vehicles. Ukrainian drone enthusiasts Aerorozvidka have mastered this kind of warfare.
