Recently, a video was released showing a new hybrid of an infantry fighting vehicle's gun and a D-44/48 gun carriage. This time, such a "modernization" affected the 30-mm 2A42 autocannon from BMP-2. It was mounted on a D-44/48 gun carriage, but this conversion raises questions about its targeting.
russians are already using 73-mm 2A28 Grom cannons from the BMP-1 on D-44/48. At first, it seemed that the russian army had used 45-mm M-42 anti-tank guns from World War II, but it turned out to be much more prosaic.

Recently, there have been more and more cases of russians replacing guns with D-44/48. As a result, it can be assumed that barrels or shells for these guns are gradually running out, prompting some vehicles to be equipped with guns from likely damaged or destroyed BMP-1/2s, which have been increasing in number following active russian assaults.

Since installing a 1PZ-3 sight from a BMP-2 is unlikely, and the standard D-44/48 sight is not designed for the 2A42, accurate firing is virtually impossible.
Therefore, of the available aiming options, one can either aim by eye or use the standard D-44/48 sight to at least get a rough idea of where the gun is aimed.
However, the video shows that this one does not have a sight. It could be assumed that it will be installed later, but in the video from drones of the Vidarr FPV Drone Company, 60th Mechanized Brigade (at 1:02), the same "hybrid" is already in position, also without a sight.

Therefore, the only option left is to aim by eye, which, combined with the autocannon mounted on the carriage, results in correspondingly low accuracy. This is why the feasibility of such a "hybrid" remains a big question.

The D-44 or D-48 is a Soviet 85-mm anti-tank gun. Although it was developed in 1944, it is still widely used due to the lack of a sufficient number of more modern artillery weapons. The D-44 has a range of up to 15.8 kilometers and a rate of fire of 20-25 rounds per minute, while the D-48 has a range of up to 18.9 kilometers and 15 rounds per minute.
Earlier Defense Express reported that russians had lost rare TOS-2 Tosochka flamethrower system on the battlefield for the first time.
