This was reported by the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the brigade, enemy troops took advantage of the so-called ceasefire to resume engineering work aimed at restoring mobility across the Chornyi Zherebets River.

The area had previously been rendered impassable for russian armor after Ukrainian forces successfully destroyed a KRVD system — a specialized mobile unit for deploying temporary roads based on a KAMAZ chassis.

That strike, conducted on April 9, effectively blocked russian assault operations using heavy vehicles in the sector.
On April 20, russian engineers were observed attempting to clear the wreckage and reestablish the crossing. The operation involved over ten personnel and a specialized recovery vehicle. Aerial reconnaissance assets from the 66th Brigade are maintaining constant surveillance over the site.

In parallel, Ukrainian troops have reported an uptick in infantry assault activity targeting positions held by one of the brigade’s battalions in the Donetsk region. Despite attempts by russian forces to regroup and reinforce, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line.
Previously, Defense Express reported that russian forces are carving out a dead zone along the right bank of the Dnipro River, in preparation for a potential ground assault.
