"Today we saw a Tu-22M3 aircraft launch such a missile. Its warhead weighs 950 kilograms. The main purpose of the missile is to strike carrier battle groups. At the same time, it is known for its inaccuracy. The allowed deviation may be as much as 600 meters. With this missile, which they used to attack Ukraine again today, russia once again demonstrated its terrorist intent against our people," Ihnat stated.

According to him, Ukrainian air defense was effective. Western F-16 and Mirage aircraft performed exceptionally well. Anti-aircraft missile brigades demonstrated high efficiency in destroying cruise missiles.

"Unfortunately, ballistic missiles were fired in different regions today. We failed to intercept them," Ihnat noted.

He added that russia has launched a record number of Shahed drones and decoy drones. The total number reached 298. This indicates that the enemy is increasing the production of drones.

Earlier Defense Express reported that russia had lost a Mi-8 helicopter near Oryol due to engine failure.
