Precision drone strikes by Ukraine's 427th Regiment have neutralized russian rocket artillery and armored vehicles

Operators of Ukraine's Rarog 427th Regiment have carried out a series of precision strikes against key russian combat assets on one of the most critical sectors of the front line, targeting multiple rocket launch systems, tanks, and armored vehicles.

Footage of the combat operation was published by the Regiment on December 30, showcasing coordinated drone actions against russian forces. The video highlights the growing role of unmanned systems in disrupting enemy firepower and maneuver capabilities in real time.

A particular focus of the operation was the BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system, a weapon designed to operate from long range and rapidly relocate after firing. Despite these tactics, the Rarog aerial reconnaissance units were able to detect the launchers precisely at the moment of salvo execution.

Once the Grad systems were identified, FPV drone operators swiftly engaged the targets, successfully striking the launchers before they could fully evade counterfire. This demonstrates an increasingly effective kill chain linking reconnaissance drones with strike platforms.

In addition to the MLRS strikes, the Regiment reported successful hits on two russian tanks and two armored combat vehicles. These assets were reportedly moving toward the positions of Ukrainian forces, indicating a disrupted or aborted maneuver by the attacking units.

The destruction and damage of armored vehicles further reduced the enemy's ability to apply pressure on Ukrainian positions, particularly in offensive operations that rely on combined arms and sustained artillery support.

As Defense Express previously reported, on the morning of December 20, 2025, an explosion occurred in the industrial zone of temporarily occupied Melitopol in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, targeting russian forces operating in the area. The incident took place as russian troops were loading military cargo onto the Ural truck.
