The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine consider the russian government’s announcement regarding the reinforcement of air defense systems at oil refineries and energy facilities a misinformation.
Andriy Yusov, a spokesperson of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said, “The Pantsir systems have already been stationed there; this statement aims to quell public outcry and redirect budget resources. These assertions won’t significantly alter the situation; issues will persist at the occupant’s military-used enterprises.”

Earlier, Artem Verkhov, the Gas Industry Development Department Director at the Ministry of Energy of russia, mentioned plans by russian authorities to safeguard oil and gas sites with Pantsir missile systems.
Recent weeks have seen numerous drone attacks on major russian oil refineries. Some sources suggest this campaign involves a coordinated effort by Security Service of Ukraine, Defense Intelligence, Special Operations Forces and the Unmanned Systems Forces.
