A key topic of discussion was the modernization of Ukraine's fleet of Soviet-era aircraft. The two sides examined opportunities to integrate advanced avionics, including Swedish-made systems, into Ukrainian aircraft. This initiative includes upgrading radar systems, defensive measures, and electronic warfare capabilities.

"Ukrainian-Swedish cooperation in this area will be mutually beneficial, as Ukraine will enhance the capabilities of its aircraft, while Sweden will gain insights from the combat experience gained through their deployment," Oleksandr Kozenko said.
The talks also touched on the potential transfer and long-term support of SAAB-manufactured aircraft to Ukraine. While existing agreements were reviewed, the discussions also laid groundwork for future actions pending favorable political decisions regarding the delivery of new aviation platforms from Sweden.
Both parties agreed to continue active consultations and maintain close contact to follow through on the agreements reached during the meeting.
