Ukrainian forces successfully strike russian forward command post

On May 21, 2025, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully attacked the advanced command post of the 3rd Army Corps of the russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied Bakhmut. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After the strike, the building with the occupiers inside was significantly damaged. The success of this attack significantly reduced russian army's ability to plan and conduct operations in the Pokrovsk sector, one of the most intense fronts.

"The Defense Forces will continue striking the aggressor's command posts until russian occupiers are fully withdrawn from Ukrainian territory and a just, lasting peace is achieved," the statement reads.

In addition, on the night of May 23, Ukrainian drones attacked the Energiya plant in the city of Yelets, Lipetsk region, russia. This plant is a key manufacturer of components for universal guidance and correction modules.

PJSC Energiya is one of russia's largest producers of chemical energy sources and the sole supplier of critical electronic components used in planning and correction modules for aircraft bombs.

The situation reflects growing strain within russia’s military industry and heightened activity by the Ukrainian Air Force.

Earlier Defense Express reported that the Ukrainian drone forces had struck russian semiconductor plant linked to missiles and fighter jets. We also wrote that russia had deployed incomplete drones in combat.
