Kremlin-backed channels spread fake claims of Ukraine inciting war between Azerbaijan and Armenia

A disinformation campaign is actively spreading across Armenian Telegram channels, falsely accusing the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine of attempting to incite an armed conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This fabricated narrative claims that Ukraine seeks to open a second front to stretch russia’s military resources, allegedly benefiting Kyiv.

The foundation of this falsehood is a forged report, supposedly from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, addressed to Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Havryliuk. However, the document is riddled with glaring errors, including incorrect formatting and obvious linguistic mistakes, such as Їван instead of Іван and СДР instead of ЄДРПОУ. These inconsistencies expose the document as an unconvincing fake.
