This was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi in an interview with LB.ua.
"The enemy plans to significantly increase production in order to deploy up to 1,000 drones per day. Therefore, we must do everything possible to thwart these plans and inflict losses significant enough to force the enemy to abandon active operations and create conditions for negotiations. No one negotiates from a position of weakness," Syrskyi stated.

According to Syrskyi, the enemy is currently producing 404 Shahed drones of various types daily and intends to further increase this output.
The Commander-in-Chief noted that russians intend to form at least 11 divisions in 2026 and to resume unfinished plans from last year. According to him, russia plans to draft 409,000 personnel.
He also highlighted that russia's mobilization potential exceeds 20 million, with 4.5 million trained personnel ready for immediate deployment to reinforce its forces.

Asked about drone superiority, Syrskyi said: "Quantity is roughly equal. The real difference is quality. We have the edge with conventional drones, but we are still catching up with the enemy in fiber-optic drones."
Earlier Defense Express reported that russia had armed jet-powered Shahed, Geran-4 with R-60 air-to-air missile.
