Over 100,000 Ukrainian Troops Trained Abroad Since Start of Full-Scale War with russia

Since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, more than 100,000 Ukrainian servicemen have been trained in partner countries

This was stated by Yevhen Mezhevikin, Deputy Chief of the Main Department of Doctrine and Training of Ukraine's General Staff, as reported by Ukrinform.

"Between 2022 and 2024, over 100,000 servicemen underwent training abroad, which included basic training, specialized instruction across various military branches, leadership development, and staff coordination. Our partners have carried out an enormous amount of work," Mezhevikin said.

He emphasized that cooperation with NATO member states and other partners in military training is ongoing and continues to expand.

"This clearly demonstrates that Ukraine is not standing alone in its fight against russian aggression," Mezhevikin added.

Additionally, just over a week ago, The Times reported that UK military leadership is considering sending troops to Ukraine. Sources in the article suggested that British troops would help train Ukrainian recruits on-site, which could be more cost-effective, quicker, and more efficient than conducting the training at UK military bases.
