As a result of explosions at the military airfield Saky (the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea) on Tuesday, nine aircraft of the occupiers were destroyed

That is according to , the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine statement.

"Saky! Minus nine aircraft of the invaders," the Air Force Command stated on its official page on Facebook.

This post was also accompanied by an infographic with the losses that the enemy suffered on Tuesday, August 9.

It should be noted that according to satellite images published yesterday, four hours before the explosions, there were at least 13 Su-30SM, 12 Su-24M/R, one Il-76 and six Mi-8 helicopters at the Saki airfield.

It is now known that the Il-76 probably managed to escape - a video appeared online showing the plane taxiing to the runway with explosions in the background.

The network also has videos and damage of aircraft that were directly at the airfield - the authenticity of these footage is currently not confirmed.

At the same time, researchers from InformNapalm accurately identified the coordinates of another video - with destroyed cars located near the military airfield.

As Defense Express reported, that a series of powerful explosions rang out in the temporarily occupied Ukraine’s Crimea near the village of Novofedorovka. The New York Times reported that Ukrainian military official with knowledge of the situation said that Ukrainian forces were behind the blast at the Saki Air Base.
