While the enemy is counting losses at its airfields, the russian media officially report on the "successful work of air defense"

On the night of October 16-17, the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit two airfields of the enemy's army aviation in the temporarily occupied territories. The strikes on enemy targets were officially confirmed by the Center for Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (StratCom). In turn, Russian propagandists are actively lamenting that this was "the most serious strike of all time" and that their airfields were hit by ATACMS missiles.

So far, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have revealed preliminary information about which and how many targets could be destroyed at enemy airfields in Berdyansk and Luhansk as part of the operation called DRAGONFLY.

In particular, according to the latest data, nine helicopters of various modifications, an unspecified amount of special equipment, an anti-aircraft defense system launcher (which one is not specified, there is information in open sources that the Pantsir self-propelled medium-range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system was allegedly destroyed) were destroyed at these facilities, runways were also damaged.

In addition, the strike destroyed enemy warehouses with ammunition. "The ammunition depot in Berdyansk detonated until 4 in the morning, the detonation in Luhansk continued until 11 in the morning," the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.

Losses among the enemy's personnel were also recorded - exact data are not given, but it is noted that the enemy has dozens of dead and wounded and is still removing bodies from under the rubble.

Quite ironic in this episode is the fact that, despite the general howling of russian propagandists about missed strikes on airfields, the official russian mass media this morning circulated news that the air defense of the russian Armed Forces "successfully worked", intercepting Ukrainian missiles.

As for the helicopters that could have been destroyed at the airfields, first of all, they could be Ka-52, Mi-28, as well as Mi-24/35 or Mi-8/17 helicopters — previously Defense Express analyzed satellite images of the airfield in Berdyansk, which recorded more than 20 enemy helicopters.
