Russia urged the Ukrainian military fighting in Mariupol to surrender and published a to-do list

The statement released by the Russian defense ministry on Saturday explains the order of measures the defenders of the "Azovstal" steel plant need to do in order to become captives. They are promised "humane treatment", according to Nexta, a Belarussian opposition media.

Today Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal told ABC News television network that the soldiers have not surrendered and the city is not fully under Russian control:

"The city still has not fallen. There are still our military forces, our soldiers, so they will fight until the end," said Denys Shmyhal.

Earlier today the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published an operational update. According to it, Mariupol is still under intense shelling. Russian invaders carry out air raids with Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, continue their assault on the city port and "Azovstal" plant.

A report from the Centre for Strategic Communications stated that besides the military, there are also hundreds of civilians hiding from shelling in the bunkers of the plant. The presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych explained, there is a wide web of underground facilities beneath the steel plant.

And this is the place where Russians used an unidentified poisonous substance that affected a few soldiers. This case aroused the discussions that possibly a chemical attack took place there, though it cannot be confirmed: it is impossible to make laboratory research due to the blockade and hostilities.
