During the special session of the Kyiv Security Forum (KSF) with the participation of General Petraeus and diplomats, participants will discuss how to compel the aggressor to retreat, the means and methods of deterring russia, and other pressing issues

This Friday, February 6, on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the start of russia's war against Ukraine, the Kyiv Security Forum will hold a special event dedicated to the most pressing topics of war, peace, and security.

Constraining russia, forcing the aggressor to retreat, achieving a just peace – are these goals achievable in 2026 amid global tensions and uncertainty? Is it possible to stop the war? Will we be able to preserve Euro-Atlantic unity? Will the rule of force or the hope for a just order prevail?

These and other questions will be discussed during a debate with leading international experts and diplomats.

Among the participants of the event are: General David Petraeus, Member of the KSF Security Council, Commander of U.S. Central Command in 2008–2010, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency in 2011–2012; Natalka CMOC, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine; Gaël Veyssière, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine; Heiko Thoms, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Ukraine; Neil Crompton, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Ukraine; Lars Olaf Sovndahl Petersen, Chargé D`Affaires ad interim, Embassy of Denmark to Ukraine; Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Chairman of the Kyiv Security Forum, Prime Minister of Ukraine in 2014–2016
