Arseniy Yatsenyuk explains how russia manipulates global politics to win the war

Arseniy Yatsenyuk, head of the Kyiv Security Forum and former Prime Minister of Ukraine, has warned that russian President Vladimir Putin is leveraging public approval from Donald Trump to strengthen his strategic position in the war against Ukraine.

In a Facebook post, Arseniy Yatsenyuk highlighted that Putin responded to the visit of the U.S. presidential envoy to Moscow with intensified bombing of Ukraine. He described this as part of russia’s ongoing effort to manipulate the Trump administration, recalling his previous analyses on the matter published in the Atlantic Council and Kyiv Security Forum reports.

While acknowledging the significance of American hostage’s release, Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed that in return, Vladimir Putin gained a major propaganda victory, reinforcing his strategy of waiting out the West and gradually securing geopolitical wins. According to him, if Vladimir Putin succeeds in Ukraine, it would mark a defeat not just for Kyiv but for the entire Western world.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk called for urgent action from the EU, G7, and Ukraine, especially during upcoming international meetings such as the Ramstein format and the Munich Security Conference. He warned against a repeat of the infamous Munich Agreement, which led to appeasement and disastrous consequences.
