Ukrainian river flotilla is about to get a flagship, this role will belong to the new Gyurza-class gunboat, the eighth produced unit in the series.
Sources told Militarnyi media that the new ship will get a name of "Bucha'' to honor the city in the capital's suburbs that suffered from russian occupation in March-April 2022. Now this ship is in its final test stage, as we can see in the photos appearing in open sources.

The construction of the gunboat started in 2019, but then halted in 2020, at the stage of making the hull. The works were renewed in July 2021, and in September same year, the ship launch ceremony was held. For some reason, the ship did not receive a name back then. From that point on, its story until this moment is unknown, as no information about the ship appeared in the media.
Judging by the photo, we can see that there was no change in the weapon arsenal on this warship. According to the project, "Bucha" should have two "Katran-M" combat modules and a ship-based version of the "Shturm" (Storm) module from the BTR-3 fighting vehicle.
The "Katran-M" module consists of a 30mm autocannon, 30mm KBA-117 automatic grenade launcher, a 7.62mm machine gun and two "Barrier" ATGMs.
