Such episodes happen "very often," soldiers say, but not all of them get in focus of media attention

The Peaky Blinders military unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has shared an interesting episode on their Telegram channel: two armored vehicles of the russian invasion army have been lost to the mines planted by fellow russians.

According to the social media post, a T-90M Proryv main battle tank and a "brand-new" BMP-3M infantry fighting vehicle rode over anti-tank mines. The tank triggered a few at once and got severely damaged, while the BMP-3M only caught one mine and lost one of the tracks.

It would be possible to evacuate and repair the BMP-3M, the Ukrainian troops noted. However, they prevented this scenario by finishing it off. The Peaky Blinders did not specify whether it was an artillery strike, or an FPV drone, or any other weapon deployed for that purpose.

The soldiers also point out that incidents of losses caused by triggering own minefields happen "very often and, unfortunately, on both sides."

For example, we can recall the russian T-62M that was destroyed after contact with a mine barrier in July this year. At the same time, it is important to understand the density of mine pollution of the Ukrainian battlefields to get a clear vision of how dangerous they are for both russian and Ukrainian forces.
