EU High Representative Josep Borrell expressed his hope that Ukraine will soon receive F-16 fighter jets before the start of the EU Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, responding to journalists' questions regarding the stance on the establishment of an F-16 aviation coalition for supplying these aircraft to Ukraine.
“It's a good idea. It's good that it comes out of the G7 and that they have finally decided to prepare the ground to provide Ukraine with the fighters it needs,” Josep Borrell stated.

Borrell has indicated that the training of Ukrainian pilots has already begun. “It is the first thing to do. I hope that soon we will be able to provide Ukraine with these types of weapons,” he added.
