Volunteers from the Czech Republic announced fundraising for the purchase of 1,000 disposable RPG-75M anti-tank grenade launchers for the Defense Forces of Ukraine. The fundraising campaign was announced as part of the "Gift for Putin" initiative

This fundraiser was timed to the 55th anniversary of the invasion of Czechoslovakia by the troops of the USSR and the Warsaw Pact countries.

They want to purchase hand grenade launchers for the 41st separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

For the purpose, the Czech initiative plans to collect 12 million crowns (over 500 thousand dollars).

The RPG-75 single-use grenade launcher was developed in Czechoslovakia in the 1970s. Now it is produced by the Czech company ZEVETA Bojkovice a.s.

The grenade launcher is designed to destroy tanks and other armored vehicles of the enemy.

The grenade launcher fires a 68-mm cumulative rocket-propelled grenade. The Ukrainian military is already using these weapons to fight the russian invaders.

Since 2022, grenade launchers have been supplied to the Defense Forces of Ukraine as part of military assistance from other countries.

  • Grenade's caliber: 68 mm;
  • Weight: 3.2 kg;
  • Length: in the starting position: 630 mm, in the combat position: 890 mm;
  • Maximum effective firing range: 300 m;
  • Maximum range: 1000 m;
  • Armor penetration of a cumulative grenade: 300 mm of homogeneous armor.
