Ukraine Reports 142 Combat Engagements in One Day, Repels 44 russian Assaults in Pokrovsk Sector

On June 22, Ukrainian forces recorded 142 combat engagements across the front line, as russian troops intensified offensive operations in multiple directions. The most intense fighting occurred in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 44 enemy assaults

This update was provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its morning report issued at 08:00 a.m.

Widespread Air and Missile Attacks

According to updated battlefield data, russian forces launched four missile strikes and 63 airstrikes over the past 24 hours. A total of ten missiles and 76 guided aerial bombs were used. russian artillery also conducted 6,132 fire missions, including 118 barrages using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Additionally, 3,416 kamikaze drones were deployed against Ukrainian targets.

russian airstrikes hit population centers across multiple regions, including three settlements in Sumy, one each in Kharkiv and Donetsk, two in Zaporizhzhia, and one in Kherson.

Ukrainian Counterstrikes

In response, Ukrainian missile forces, artillery, and aviation carried out precision strikes on six russian troop and equipment concentration areas. Ukrainian forces also hit two enemy artillery systems and one air defense position.

Frontline Overview by Sector

Sumy and Kursk Sectors

Ukrainian forces repelled 20 russian ground assaults. The enemy also launched 10 airstrikes using 17 guided bombs and conducted 257 artillery and MLRS attacks.

Kharkiv Sector

russian troops made seven attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses near Vovchansk, Stroivka, and Fyholivka. All were unsuccessful.

Kupiansk Sector

Three russian assaults were reported near Stepova Novoselivka, Zelenyi Hai, and in the direction of Holubivka. Ukrainian forces successfully held their positions.

Lyman Sector

russian forces attacked 17 times, concentrating efforts near Novyi Myr, Karpivka, Ridkodub, Tverdokhlibove, and Kolodiazi in an attempt to penetrate Ukrainian lines.

Siversk Sector

russian troops launched four attacks near Hryhorivka and Ivano-Dariivka. Ukrainian units held firm.

Kramatorsk Sector

Six assaults took place near Chasiv Yar and in the directions of Predtechyne and Bila Hora.

Toretsk Sector

Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 attacks near Diliivka, Toretsk, Leonidivka, Rusyn Yar, and Yablunivka.

Pokrovsk Sector

This sector witnessed the highest level of enemy activity. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 44 russian attacks in the areas of Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Myrne, Promin, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Muravka, and Oleksiivka.

Novopavlivka Sector

russian troops launched 10 attacks near Vesele, Shevchenko, Bahatyr, and Vilne Pole.

Orikhiv Sector

A single russian assault was reported in the direction of Novoandriivka.

Prydniprovskyi Sector

Two enemy attacks were launched but failed to dislodge Ukrainian positions.

The scale and intensity of russian operations underscore Moscow’s ongoing attempt to stretch Ukrainian defenses across the front. However, consistent defensive coordination, artillery precision, and effective use of drone and missile assets continue to help Ukrainian forces hold their ground.
