Cyprus remains a country that is not willing to help Ukraine with weapons even though it has a good amount of equipment inherited from the Soviet era.
The Cypriot government's spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis said his country wouldn't be giving weapons to Ukraine. He stated that Nicosia cannot afford to send to Ukraine weapons it needs for its own protection, ProtoThema reports.

But it doesn't mean Cyprus provides no help at all, as noted, Cyprus will teach Ukrainian military personnel, in particular, how to demine territories. There is also humanitarian aid sent by this country that also welcomed about 20,000 refugees.
Worth noting, the increased interest toward Cyprus in the Ukraine war context is related to the visit by Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov. He arrived in Cyprus straight after visiting Greece, another country that doesn't stand out with the amount of help to Ukraine, although it agreed to give aging BMP-1 combat vehicles in exchange for German Marder IFVs at a very beneficial exchange rate: one BMP-1 per one Marder.
Ukraine might be interested in the Cypriot arsenal even more than the Greek one though: Cyprus wields T-80U tanks (43 units), Buk (4) and Tor (6) air defense missile systems with associated missiles, Mi-35 helicopters (up to 11 rotorcraft, some of them were sold to Serbia).
Anyway, it doesn't seem Nicosia is ready to start supplying military aid yet, or at least discuss it in public.
