russian logistics in southern Ukraine is in dire state because of the explosion that caused the bridge connecting the occupied Crimea with russia fall

The winds and weather conditions obstruct the repair works on the Crimean (Kerch) Bridge, a crucial supply chain of the russian armed forces on the peninsula and the entire group of russian forces in southern Ukraine, says a Ukrainian military official.

After the blast that caused three out of four road lines to fall into the sea, and damaged the railway as well, russians have been struggling to start the repair.

"The situation with equipment, supplies, logistics is very critical for them, because indeed they had received reinforcements from there; and 75% of these supplies were delivered across the Crimean Bridge," says Natalia Humeniuk, representative of the Southern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on air of Ukrainian TV marathon.

"Currently, even the sea is on our side, as we say, even nature protests against anything functioning there, for even ferry crossings were suspended."

For example, the ferries stopped crossing the Kerch strait on October 15 due to the strong wind, OperativnoZSU reports with reference to russian-backed "authorities" in the annexed Crimea.

And the repair works on the bridge have been repeatedly postponed due to the bad weather, noted Humeniuk. This leads to a shortage of ammunition, combat vehicles, and equipment.

The same situation is seen on Dnipro river, where the russians are trying to establish ferry and pontoon crossings over the river, as the Antonivskyi bridge connecting the banks is in ruins. The use of such crossings is on the verge of risking life, but it doesn’t stop russians whatsoever.

"They are not even attempting to transfer anything from the left bank to the right one. Instead, they deliver to the left bank everything that is still alive and can be transferred," Natalia Humeniuk stated. As Defense Express reminds, the right bank of Dnipro has become a stronghold and trap for the russian forces who arrived there in anticipation of the Ukrainian offensive and got cut off the steady supplies from the left bank after a series of HIMARS strikes on the Antonivskyi bridge.
