The Dutch Ministry of Defence intends to manufacture 400 tracked ACSV G5 armored vehicles and involve the local company Van Halteren Defence, which is already participating in the production of CV90 infantry fighting vehicles for Ukraine.
According to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, citing its own sources, the exact vehicle configurations, contract value, and delivery timeline remain unclear.

Defense Express notes that this initiative aligns with the Netherlands' broader increase in defense spending as the country works to strengthen its military capabilities. Earlier reports indicated that the Netherlands was considering the purchase of more than 120 ACSV G5 vehicles.
So far, 40 vehicles have already been ordered for the Dutch armed forces to serve as chassis for new air defense systems. These include 18 NOMADS surface-to-air missile systems and 22 Skyranger 30 gun systems.

If the plan to procure and localize 400 ACSV G5 vehicles moves forward, the platform will effectively become the Netherlands' primary multi-role tracked vehicle. In addition to basic chassis variants, engineering and logistics versions are likely to be acquired.
Although Van Halteren Defence rarely makes headlines, the company produces a wide range of defense equipment, including hydraulic, electronic, climate control, and filtration systems.

Its facilities are also involved in armored vehicle production and will participate in manufacturing both Leopard 2A8 tanks and CV90 IFVs. Some of the latter are expected to be delivered to Ukraine.
The ACSV G5 is a tracked carrier weighing 26 tons with a payload capacity of up to 8 tons, including support for a 10-foot container platform. At least eight such vehicles have reportedly been delivered to Ukraine, although their specific configuration remains unknown.
