The russian special services resort to manipulation through agents of influence. Polish businessman Rafal Mekler together with the leader of the Polish pro-russian Confederation of Freedom and Independence party, Janusz Korwin-Mikke, organized the blockade of the Poland–Ukraine border.
It is known that Janusz Korwin-Mikke was seen many times in close relations with russia as well as the leadership of the occupied Crimea.

Disgruntled polish carriers were involved in the action under the slogan of "fair competition".
The action achieved the Kremlin's goal: stopping the delivery of weapons to Ukraine and blocking Ukrainian exports.
It should be noted, that the possibility of transit through Poland is critical for Ukraine's resilience in the face of the full-scale russian aggression. It cannot be interpreted as unreasonable economic preferences for Ukrainian carriers. At the same time the blockade of the border by Polish carriers has caused serious problems for Ukraine: crucial humanitarian and military aid was not delivered on time, and the Ukrainian economy suffered losses of more than EUR 400 mln.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the blockade of the Polish-Ukrainian border during the end-of-year press conference in Kyiv.
He noted that the blockade of the border issue was not a matter of business interests, but a matter of survival, and Ukraine has lost millions of dollars.
Ukraine’s authority welcomes the active efforts of the new Polish government to overcome the crisis on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
"I believe that the new government will unlock this blockade, which is artificial" Zelenskyy said.
Ukraine also appreciates the support of the European Commission, which clearly indicated that the law was on the side of Ukrainian carriers in this matter.
The European Commission called on the poles to immediately unblock the border, but the blockade continues so the Kremlin could be satisfied for now… But Ukraine hopes that all checkpoints across the state border between Poland and Ukraine will soon resume usual operation.
Polish carriers began blockading the border on November 6 this year. Later, farmers joined the carriers. They complain about uncontrolled grain imports from Ukraine, which could harm Polish business. Subsequently, Slovakia (since December 1) and Hungary (since December 11) joined Poland, which carriers also began blocking the border.
