Ukraine has created a working group on the construction of fortifications. The group will work 24/7 as an operational headquarters and coordinate the efforts of all government agencies and the military in matters of the construction of fortifications. It will be headed by Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, together with Rustem Umerov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
The plans include implementing a reform to define areas of responsibility: on the first line of defense, the construction of fortifications is carried out by military units, on the second and third lines, the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine through the involvement of private contracting organizations.

“We have already been able to find funding among Ukrainian businesses for the construction of fortifications in the most “hot” directions. Thank you to all the companies that are ready to join this important area for the front,” Mykhailo Fedorov reported.
He also notes that the fortifications will help to strengthen the country’s defense capability and more effectively counter the enemy.
