The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has recently signed a memorandum with ICEYE, a leading Finnish satellite technology company, to enhance cooperation in space intelligence. ICEYE, renowned for its microsatellites and one of the world’s largest constellations of radar satellites, will work closely with Ukraine to bolster Earth remote sensing capabilities. This collaboration is pivotal for Ukraine’s national security and defense strategies.
Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Kateryna Chernohorenko highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating, “Cooperation with ICEYE and the signing of the memorandum will significantly improve our intelligence activities. We are grateful to the company for its commitment to democratic values, support for the Ukrainian people, and its stance on restricting space imaging over the territory of Ukraine. We must protect our country on land, in the air, at sea, in cyberspace and in space.”
