An agent of the Atesh partisan movement scouted the Saranskkabel-Optika fiber optics plant in Saransk, according to a report on Telegram.
The company is well known and is a key manufacturer of all types of fiber optic cables, except for marine ones. It also regularly fulfills defense orders to supply the occupying forces.
It was reported that the plant had previously been struck by Ukrainian drones, temporarily suspending its operations. Afterwards, employees became fearful and began taking air raid sirens seriously.
"russian military industry is in our sights, and we guarantee that much more of interest lies ahead," the statement reads.
There are also a sufficient number of other russian military industry enterprises in Saransk. They are involved in instrument making, machine building, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, the chemical industry, and machine tool production.

The partisan movement continues to monitor these facilities and passes all the information it gathers to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian partisans have already conducted reconnaissance at a number of russian enterprises. These include the Instrument-Making Plant in Kaluga, which manufactures the Bal-E coastal missile system, and the Chemical Automatics Design Bureau in Voronezh, which produces Iskander missile engines, as well as other plants.
Earlier Defense Express reported that russian occupiers in Crimea had hidden S-400 systems and disperse troops amid fears of Ukrainian strikes. We also wrote that Ukrainian partisans had scouted facility upgrading russian drones in St. Petersburg.
