Ukraine’s gunners are effectively hitting the occupiers with Polish Krab self-propelled guns, they have already more than doubled official barrel resource. This is stated in the video published by Radio Svoboda as part of the "Nastoyastchee vremya" project.
So, the news story shows the gun, which fired the most shots of all the Krab self-propelled artillery guns available in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as the crew states.
As noted, this Krab self-propelled gun has already fired 3,500 shots, although the Polish manufacturers declared that the barrel could withstand a modest 1,500 shots. This, in particular, speaks first of all about the intensity of fighting in the direction in which this self-propelled gun operates.
At the same time, it is worth noting here that the manufacturer probably slightly underestimated the passport resource of the barrel. But for comparison, self-propelled guns of russian and Soviet production have a barrel resource of 2-3 thousand shots, after that it must be replaced.
