Before the cruise missiles used by the russian federation, there were already questions regarding their reliability

The fact that Russian missiles sometimes fall down on the way is a known fact for a long time, but the latest result may well demonstrate that the russian defense industry currently does not even ensure the maintenance of old weapons in a working condition, let alone the production of modern weapons

The massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine on October 10 demonstrated some rather strange things about the reliability of russian weapons. According to the message of the Kremlin propagandist Skabeeva, which she made live, during the massive missile attack on Monday, russia launched more than 150 missiles.

"The russian Aerospace Forces launched a whole series of strikes on Ukraine. Strategic missile carriers launched at least 150 cruise missiles. The strikes are continuing right now," she said during the introduction to another propaganda session.

Considering the fact that the propagandist is reading prepared information, it was not a fluff or her invention, but, most likely, it was data received directly from the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation. It makes no sense for the Russians to exaggerate the number of missiles fired over Ukraine.

At the same time, it should be noted that, according to official data published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 84 missiles of various types were recorded over the territory of Ukraine. Most of them were cruise missiles. Of them, the Ukrainian military destroyed 43 units. The Air Force has a complete picture of the airspace, which is integrated into a single anti-aircraft control network. The photo of what it looks like was released by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi:

Thus, if, according to reports from the russian federation, only 150 cruise missiles were fired at Ukraine, and the Air Force of Ukraine declares that only 84 missiles of all types entered the airspace of Ukraine, then it can be concluded that only about 50% of all launched by the russian military missiles of X-101 and X-555 tipes, as well as possibly X-22 tipe, were able to reach the territory of Ukraine, and another half of them simply fell somewhere along the way.

It should be noted that such situations do occur and have been recorded. For example, in September, the Russian Federation lost one of the Kinzhal missile, which simply fell in the Stavropol Territory. By the way, simultaneously with the report of a missile attack by the russian federation on October 10, there were also unconfirmed reports of explosions on the territory of the russian federation itself.

Of course, the figure of 50% can be considered rather strange. But in the conditions of the russian federation, it is quite possible to explain it by the fact that for the attack on October 10, the Kremlin was allowed to use a stock of missiles from the reserve stockpile (the so-called "NZ" in russian) - missiles that had been in storage for a long time.

Taking into account the corruption in the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation and the russian defense industry, it cannot be ruled out that this "NZ" (reserve stockpile) could contain "dummy" missiles with defects discovered during production, or even without the entire set of necessary systems, and the difference in cost settled in the pockets of the persons involved in this. It is also not excluded that some of these missiles were from new batches manufactured already under the sanctions regime - without modern electronic systems, or banned for sale to the Russian Federation.

Also, the quality of missiles could be affected by the fact that a large number of them are stored in the open air in the Russian Federation, due to the lack of specially equipped storage places.

As Defense Express reported, russian Missile Attack Was Prepared a Week Ago.
