In the next year, Ukraine plans to significantly increase the production of various types of weapons: the priority will be ammunition and missiles for anti-aircraft defense

That is according to the information published by press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

As the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havrylyuk noted on the air of the national telethon, the Ministry of Defense together with the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine wants to increase the production of missiles, ammunition, weapons and military equipment several times in 2024.

In addition, the official drew attention to the fact that the approved budget for next year provides for the allocation of about 175 billion hryvnias for the purchase of missiles and ammunition.

The deputy minister said that we are talking about a wide range of air defense equipment: from MANPADS to systems with a range of more than 100 kilometers, such as the Koral air defense system.

This will allow the Defense Forces of Ukraine "to resist russian aggression with dignity", emphasized the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ivan Havryliuk.

According to him, the priorities for 2024 will be:

• strengthening of the anti-aircraft shield of Ukraine,

• development of the domestic defense industries.

As Defense Express reported, earlier Ukrainian Elite Forces Received Kamikaze Drones Worth 235 Million.
