Operating under severe conditions, Lecturer’s achievement symbolizes resilience and precision in the face of adversity

A sniper from the Active Operations Unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, known by the callsign Lecturer, achieved a remarkable feat by eliminating russian soldier with a single shot of the .338 Lapua Magnum round at a distance of 2,069 meters.

Unlike the record-setting shot by British sniper Corporal Craig Harrison in 2009, fired in calm weather from an elevated prone position, Lecturer operated in far harsher conditions. Battling December’s cold and firing from a standing position in a trench, he successfully struck his moving target in a wooded area on the first attempt. This accomplishment comes amidst the challenges of modern warfare, where the threat of drones often forces snipers to abandon traditional firing techniques.

Lecturer’s remarkable shot not only demonstrates technical precision but also serves as an inspiring symbol of resilience and determination in Ukraine’s struggle against aggression.
