During a storm in the Black Sea, on December 15, the Volgoneft-212 tanker split in half. Later, it became known about another sinking tanker, Volgoneft-239. This was reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.
"This is the second time that a cargo ship of Kama Shipping company sinks due to a hull failure. The previous one was the Volgoneft-139 tanker, which sank in just a few minutes. In both cases, waves struck the hull, causing a hole to form, followed by a crack. The tanker literally broke into two parts and sank," the statement reads.

It is noted that there were 13 crew members on board Volgoneft-212, and 14 on board Volgoneft-239.
Volgoneft-212 was built 55 years ago. It was originally a conventional tanker, and in the 1990s it was shortened to river-sea standard vessel. russians did everything in a hurry: cut out the center and then welded the stern and bow together, forming a huge "seam" in the middle. As a result, it split after being struck by a powerful wave.
It is also known that russian tankers could carry up to 8,000 tons of oil products, which could spill into the waters of the Black Sea and potentially cause a man-made disaster.
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukrainian forces had destroyed 40 russian tank cars carrying fuel worth $4 million in a unique operation.
