Following this, the SESU has reminded citizens of rules of safe behavior when encountering unexploded ordnance; those might be both explosive remnants of war as far back as World War II, and current-generation explosive devices that failed to explode.

The Service advises that citizens should never try to deal with unexploded ordnance unless they are certified explosive ordnance technicians. Explosive ordnance, if found, should never be poured with water, covered with earth, nor any other action should be taken with it.

If you find an explosive ordnance, do not approach it. Instead, contact the nearest SSUE unit or call help using emergency numbers 101 or 102.
