In Kyiv, sappers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine carried out the neutralization of the warhead of the russia’s Kynzhal aeroballistic hypersonic missile

This was reported in the press service of the department on Telegram.

Specialists said that they were working on the disposal of a dangerous object in the Shevchenkivskyi District of the Ukrainian capital.

As Defense Express reported, on the night of January 2, 2024, a significant aerial attack unfolded, reminiscent of a similar attack on December 29, 2023.

The enemy employed a diverse array of weapons, targeting critical infrastructure, industrial complexes, civilian and military areas. The epicenter of this attack was the capital of Ukraine.

The enemy utilized a total of 99 airstrike means, incorporating various missile types. In a joint effort, the Ukrainian Air Force, in collaboration with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, successfully intercepted and downed 72 air targets. This included 10 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missiles, 59 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles and 3 Kalibr cruise missiles.
