The liberation of the Snake (Zmiiny) Island by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Russian occupation forces has already brought its first positive results - the mouth of Bystre has become accessible for the passage of ships transporting agricultural products

That is according to official statement of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

"Taking into account the liberation of Snake Island from Russian forces and the accumulation of a large number of ships in anticipation of passage through the Sulina Canal, it is possible to use the channel of the mouth of the Danube-Black Sea waterway for the entry/exit of ships transporting agricultural products," the statement says.

It is noted that two barge-towing warehouses of the "Cranship" company have already successfully crossed the Bystre estuary from the Sulina raid to the Kiliya port point.

It will be recalled that earlier this week the Ukrainian military officially installed the flag of Ukraine on the liberated Snake Island.

As Defense Express reported Ukraine’s militry confirmed the destruction of 30 units of enemy equipment on Snake Island. Abandoned ammunition and vast ruins were discovered.

Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine completed a long pragmatic operation, as a result of which the russians were forced to flee the island - let us remind you that the liberation of Snake Island was also carried out with the help of modern Ukrainian “Bohdana” self-propelled howitzer.
