The Armed Forces of Ukraine installed Ukrainian flags on the liberated Snake island. Corresponding photos and videos were released by the Ground Forces Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which show the completely destroyed positions of the Russian invaders and abandoned military equipment.
The installation of the flags, apparently, took place at dawn after the transfer of the Ukrainian unit to the island at night.

Defense Express notes that the first message about the installation of the flag came on July 4 from the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalya Humenyuk. But then she corrected herself that her words should be "understood metaphorically". Later it was stated that the flag was delivered by helicopter, but was not installed.
But now the flag of Ukraine literally flies on the island.
Defense Express reminds that the russian army fled from Snake island, abandoning equipment and weapons, on June 30. This was the result of the most pragmatic operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the establishment of an A2AD no-access zone.
