As the Ukraine’s General Staff operational update on the state of warfare as of 06.00, on October 28, 2022, the fire damage inflicted on the adversary’s manpower and equipment in the previous days has been confirmed. Thus, 8x units of weapons and military equipment of various types were destroyed and up to 120x servicemen were wounded in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. On the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast, about 100x wounded occupiers were reported to be delivered to medical facilities.
The so-called “evacuation” from the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Oblast is ongoing. Considerable attention is paid to the medical equipment and property that is taken out of, as the occupant forces say, “nationalized” enterprises. Thus, the equipment of a local hospital in the settlement of Bilozerka is taken to the cities of Skadovs’k and Heniches’k. At the same time, the enemy group on the right-bank part of the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Oblast is reported to be strengthened by up to 1,000x mobilised servicemen. They are resettled in the homes of the locals who have left these areas.

As the update states, during the day of 27th October, the aircraft of the Ukrainian Defence Forces has launched 29x air strikes. 21x concentrations of manpower, weapons and military equipment, 3x strong points, and 5x positions of anti-aircraft missile system of the enemy were confirmed hits. Ukrainian air defence units shot down 2x Ka-52 helicopters and 1x Su-25 attack aircraft of the enemy. At the same time Ukrainian missile troops and artillery hit 4x concentrations of manpower, weapons and military equipment, and 1x ammunition depot of the adversary.
In order to avoid panic among personnel, the command of the russian occupant forces uses every means in an attempt to hide the actual casualties.
Key points of the report:
- Volyn and Polissya axes: no major changes. The republic of belarus continues to support the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, by allowing the use of its territory, airspace, and infrastructure. The threat of missile and air strikes, including the employment of combat UAVs, remains high.
- The enemy conducted shelling on other axes:
- Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: from the territory of the russian federation, artillery of various types was employed in the vicinities of settlements of Boyaro-Lezhachi, Vodolahy, Hirky, Pysarivka, and Ryzhivka (Sumy Oblast), and Vil’khuvatka, Vovchans’k, Okhrimivka, and Starytsia (Kharkiv Oblast);
- Kup’yans’k and Lyman axes: from tanks, mortars, artillery and missile systems, in the vicinities of settlements of Druzhelyubivka and Petro-Ivanivka (Kharkiv Oblast); Zarichne, Yampolivka (Donetsk Oblast), Makiivka and Nevske (Luhansk Oblast);
- Bakhmut axis: from tanks and artillery of various calibres, in the vicinities of settlements of Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, Opytne, Rozdolivka, Soledar, Mayorsk, and Yakovlivka;
- Avdiivka axis: the adversary fired mortars, artillery and missile systems near the settlements of Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Mar’inka, Nevelske, Novomykhailivka, and Pervomais’ke (Donetsk Oblast).
- Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia axes: the enemy fired artillery at the vicinities of 15x settlements. Those included Bilohirya, Hulyaipole, Dorozhnyanka (Zaporizhzhia Oblast), and Vuhledar, Novosilka, Pavlivka, and Prechystivka (Donetsk Oblast).
- Pivdennyi Buh axis: vicinities of 20x settlements near the line of contact were damaged by the enemy fire.
According to Ukraine’s General Staff operational report, the adversary attempts to hold the temporarily captured territories, concentrates its efforts on tying down the Ukrainian Defence Forces on certain axes. At the same time, the enemy does not cease its offensive operations on Bakhmut and Avdiivka axes.
During the day of 27th October, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled the occupiers’ attacks in the vicinities of settlements: Andriivka, Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast); Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Vremivka, Zelenopilya, Soledar, Mayorsk, Mar’inka, Nevelske, Novobakhmutivka, Pervomais’ke, Yakovlivka (Donetsk Oblast).
The enemy is shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops along the line of contact, fortifies its positions on certain axes, in particular, on the left bank of the Dnieper River, and actively conducts aerial reconnaissance.
In violation of the International Humanitarian Law, as well as the laws and principles of war, the adversary continues launching strikes at critical infrastructure and civilian residences.
As the update states, during the day of 27th October, the adversary launched 15x air strikes and 1x missile strike, over 40x MLRS attacks. The attacks affected the settlements of Bilohirka, Nova Kam’yanka, Novohrednjeve (Kherson Oblast), Stepove (Zaporizhia Oblast), and Mar’inka and Pavlivka (Donetsk Oblast).
