Satellite images of Kherson oblast demonstrate that the russian army keeps creating advanced defensive positions on the east bank of the Dnipro in the depths of the occupied territory.
OSINT specialist Benjamin Pittet, who investigated a large area of southern Ukraine in detail, noticed this activity. The satellite images published by him show the creation of positions only on the left bank of the Dnipro near Kherson, and even on the Black Sea and east of the Dnipro. The positions found are as follows:

Some of them are classic strongholds, as they say "according to the statute". For example, this is what the fortification of the russians in the Nova Kakhovka area looks like. The photo below clearly shows two lines of trenches and positions for equipment. And this defense line is only the front line, because further defensive positions will be arranged in buildings.
The creation of likely stationary positional areas of artillery units was also recorded, as, for example, in the area of Hola Prystan. The image below shows one line of trenches and 10 positions for what are most likely artillery systems.
But some of them are located in remote areas, which demonstrate the readiness of the russian army to oppose even deep amphibious operations. For example, on the shore of the Black Sea in the Yahorlytska Bay. At the same time, they are made in a simplified form.
Positions are also being created quite deep even from the Dnipro, for example, 13 km from Kakhovka next to the transport junction.
All this allows to assume that the russian army is currently creating three lines of defense, the first of them runs along the Dnipro, the second at a depth of 5-10 km from it, and the third at 20-25 km. That is a kind of "Atlantic wall" of the Third Reich, which was supposed to prevent the landing of the allies. At the same time, all this is done without any "self-promotion", in contrast to the so-called "Wagner line".
At the same time, the length of the defense lines is about 180-200 km, which requires considerable efforts for its creation. However, carrying out a large-scale operation to force the Dnipro by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is unlikely after the liquidation of the bridgehead of the russian army in Kherson oblast due to its complexity and resource-intensive nature.
And in this case, the main aspect is that the arrangement of such a line of defense in Kherson oblast requires the creation of a defense line no less saturated on the line Vasylivka - Polohy - Blahodatne - Novotroitske.
If similar preparations are made in this 200-km section, it is possible to make an extremely cautious assumption that the Kremlin understands the real possibilities of its offensive potential and is actively "concreting" its defense. And the main goal is to maintain control over the already occupied territory and with all efforts to preserve the "land corridor" to the occupied Crimea in approximately the current positions.
