To determine the exact location of the impact on russian Project 22160 patrol ship Sergei Kotov, experts used data from the Automatic Identification System (AIS) due to the fact that the cargo ship, which was near the Crimean bridge, did not turn off the device, that was used to mark the route

According to OSINT researchers, the villages of Zapovitne and Yakovenkovo are the closest Crimean settlements to the flooding site. The russian Sergei Kotov patrol ship sank 8 km from the Crimean coast and about 25 km from the Crimean Bridge.

Given the location, size and coordinates of the Twin Star and IDEL 4 ships, OSINT researchers were able to pinpoint the location of the attack by the Ukrainian unmanned boats on the russian patrol ship.

We will remind you that on the night of March 5, the russian mass media reported that drones attacked russian military facilities and that the russian Sergei Kotov patrol ship was sunk as a result of these strikes.

Not long ago, this information was confirmed by the Defense Intelligance of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and they said that they destroyed the ship with the help of Magura V5 marine drones. As a result, the russian patrol ship "Sergiy Kotov" suffered damage to the stern, right and left sides. At least 27 invaders wounded after Sergei Kotov patrol ship was destroyed.
