Special inserts for car tires are being tested in Ukraine. They allow the vehicle to drive even on broken or damaged tires. The product is being prepared for scaling

According to Mykhailo Fedorov, the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, "armored wheels" are being tested for combat pickups as part of the Brave1 platform.

"RunFlat is a special insert in car tires that allows a car to drive even on punctured or damaged wheels. Especially relevant during the evacuation of the wounded, the execution of combat missions, or the delivery of supplies to the Defense Forces. Soldiers don't need to stop and expose themselves to danger; they can continue moving to a safe location," Fedorov said.

The technology is made of polyurethane. RunFlat is inserted into the middle of the wheel, and due to this, the damaged tire falls on the insert.

According to the Minister, Ukrainian RunFlat inserts are on par with global models and are made from materials that are not prone to premature destruction. Now, the developers are planning mass production and expansion of the model range with large armored vehicles.
