Ukraine’s Armed Forces Seized Rare russian Tanks as Trophies, Enough for Two Tank Platoons

The Ukrainian military continues to arm itself with tanks from the arsenal of the russian army

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively replenishing their fleet of armored vehicles with rare models that were captured as trophies during the successful counteroffensive in the Kherson region.

In particular, yesterday, October 4, three trophy T-62M tanks were recorded at once, and all three had "anti-missile cope cages" welded onto them, the effectiveness of which is quite questionable.

In addition, photos of two more trophy T-62Ms appeared on social networks on October 3 - one of them was captured by fighters of the 73rd Maritime Special Operations Center of the Navy of Ukraine.

After all, the photo of the first trophy T-62M appeared on the Internet on September 14. So, the Armed Forces of Ukraine already have T-62M trophy tanks in a quantity sufficient for two tank platoons.

As Defense Express previously reported, the Armed Forces have already found use for these tanks on the battlefield.

In general, according to the Oryx portal, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russians have lost 13 of their rare tanks, of which 12 are T-62M, as well as one T-62MV, which was found damaged in the Kherson region.

As a reminder, the T-62MV is distinguished by the installed dynamic protection "Kontakt-1" and the absence of additional armor protection of the turret and hull.
